About Larissa Meysner

Co-director of Psychology Training

Larissa Meysner is a Clinical Psychologist, Board-Approved Supervisor, and EMDRAA Accredited Trainer. Passionate about the scientist-practitioner model, she brings the latest research and evidence-based approaches into both her training and private practice. In 2024, Larissa joined Chris as Co-Director of Psychology Training, where she’s known for her energetic, dynamic, and engaging training style.

Research Excellence

In 2017, Larissa was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to study residential treatment programs for post-traumatic stress disorder. Troubled by the gap in care between inpatient hospital settings and weekly outpatient treatment settings, she travelled to the UK, Netherlands and USA to learn from world-class providers of PTSD treatment.

Since returning, Larissa has been a passionate advocate for incorporating best practice treatments into outpatient settings in Australia - including intensive treatment protocols and holistic approaches such as equine therapy. Clinicians regularly seek out consultation with Larissa to discuss how to build intensive treatment planning into their private practice while being mindful of the practical realities and cost-of-living crisis many patients are facing.
