Prerequisites
Attendance at this workshop assumes a good working knowledge of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy structure and principles as taught in the Introductory Workshop.
Pre-workshop reading: Attendees will have the opportunity to complete a case conceptualisation prior to the workshop, with time dedicated during the workshop to review these and reflect on “what is missing”.
Workshop outcomes
Improve case formulation from a DBT perspective and identify behavioural and non-behavioural definitions of targets for therapy. The workshop covers a number of key topics, and includes opportunities to practice the following skills, including:
Case formulation review
Identifying behavioural targets
How to effectively structure individual DBT sessions
Assessment and management of life-threatening behaviours using the Linehan Risk Assessment and Management Protocol (L-RAMP)
Monitoring adherence and outcomes of DBT individual session
Use of contingency management within sessions
Complex case review
